Annie Tong’s photography explores different themes within documentary-style portraiture. She is intrigued by the beauty of the ordinary, and looks to “the everyday of life” for her inspiration. Whether as a traveler seeking to understand a day in the life of others, or, in her role as a healthcare photographer seeking to reveal the ordinary elements of otherwise commonly extraordinary circumstances of life, her photography strives to be both uneventful and familiar. Tong graduated from Sheridan College in applied photography. She lives in Toronto and works as a professional photographer.
